Skiing at Glencoe at the moment is fantastic, Artic Iain will vouch for that  ;D. I'm planning on going this saturday, 12th April, weather depending if anyone would like to join me O0

I was at glencoe yesterday - fantastic conditions.  The snow started 10 feet from the access chair.  To see the haggis trap full of snow (whats that? about 30-40ft deep of snow?) is amazing.  There are some jumps built in on the main basis with some rails, kickers and so on.

yesterday, on a sunny sunday, only half of the main carpark was full so there weren't big queues.  The only queues where in the morning when the wind picked up and stopped the cliffhanger chair and the summit runs so the wall t-bar was only available for main uplift.

The bike run is in bad shape.  because the snow came down so far this winter I think a fair amount of work will be needed to shape it up - unless you've got an 8" travel bike handy.  I noticed that the access chair has bike hooks on nearly all the chairs!!!  Glencoe this summer!!

If you're a beginner then head to Fort William - they have a great ski school.  Experts and intermediates will find plenty of action at the 'coe.  Glenshee is better when it has snow.  which is not often at the moment.

Glencoe has so much snow we will be skiing in May, unless it rains nonstop or we have a heat wave!!!!  I will be leaving stirling at 8.30. Its £25 for day ticket and well worth the spend to support the mountain.

Just back from learning to ski in Saas-Fee, never knew it was so much fun!  Not quite at a level where I can ski with anyone else though - unless they have a death wish ;-)  May try and grab a day somewhere soon though as I suspect that another day on the slopes and I may just about have it sussed!

I have checked weather and tomorow is off and sunday is on for me. I am going up for half day which is good. Plenty of skiing to be had as it will be fairly quiet. I will have spare seat in my van if anyone wants a ride.  Leaving stirling about 10.45am  ;D
