Long awaited dates for your diaries are :-
1. Sunday March 25th , within area of Loch Tay. Final route TBA. Would  people like to do the route of Etape Caledonia or are they happy with the traditional Southside Loch Tay, Glen Quaich, Amulree etc....

2.Sunday 29th April, Ardnamurchan peninsula

3. Sunday 27th May, Alston (North of England)

4. Sunday 24th June, Arran(old favourite)

5. Sunday July 29th, the Borders, possibly the route(s) of the Ken Laidlaw sportive.

6. Weekend of 26/27 August, Skye weekend

Good work there Jim, if you were looking for a possible route not all in the Borders on the 29th July, I still have the logged route for the 2009? Cross Border Ton (that was actually 106 miles) leaving Haddington to cross the Pentlands and over the Borders along the Tweed before returning back north to Haddyville again.

Its where El Roberto (Bawbee, that long missed Fawkirk rider) did his first Ton!  :D

cheers,
A.

We could discuss actual route, just heard that roads around Dumfries are pretty awesome. It will be up to you guys as I will still be in Belle France!!!!

I should also have mentioned that the weekend away at end of August (a bank holiday!) may well be moved to 1st weekend in Sept
Will confirm ASAP.

Hi folks

It doesn't look like anyone's noticed that the Moidart run is this Sunday! Classic run In stunning surroundings.

Looking to meet at the Corran Ferry in time for the 10am ferry, (it takes 2 hours to get there). 80ish miles with a lunch stop, the location of which is dependent on which way round we go. It's good to have numbers so we can let the lunchtime hotel know how many bodies are going to turn up.

So far:

Just bumping this to the the top! I think this is the correct terminology? The Alston away day is Sunday the 27th of May (Alston is a town in the land that time forgot! Actually our beloved Cumbria). Exact route to be decided, twice we've been there with riders of varying abilities so think there are escape routes and short cuts so don't be frightened off or think you'll be left alone to be eaten by the bears and wolves!  :)

Please post up if you are coming so we know the numbers:

Donald McLean
Mark Leadbetter
Grant Baxter
Kevin Jackson
Domenico Pozziviso

Judging by yesterday's performance, I fear its only a matter of time, Neil.

I’m keen, but unfortunately no car that Sunday.

So if there is someone who is able and willing to give me, my bike, and a little bit of associated clobber, a lift to Alston then great – put my name down.

If not I will have to give this one a miss.

Fingers crossed

Angus
