I think I got on the 10:15 express from Larbert.  It did not bode well when on the way to the Peak I bumped into two guys from Leslie bike club heading for the APR!

Great ride, good company for the first 28miles then it got a little lonely...

Looking forward to next February.

I punctured in Larbert so gave the scratch a 5min head start, missed out the Braes to try and catch them at bottom but not fast enough, carried on and passed a few punctures and stragglers but then popped at Arnprior, oops!

Sounds like you were a couple of mins behind me Mark. Punctured on Deanston so busted a gut getting over the lake of menteith rd to arnprior (It's a horrible road to try and go fast solo on, my vision went blurry at one point I was so out of breath  :-X). Managed to get to arnprior with a couple of mins to spare before rejoining scratch, and ended up back in larbert, but I got lost trying to find the airth flats to cycle home afterwards....the Falkirk chaingang circuit looks different in reverse:-[

Yeah, I didnt fancy doing that road and also wanted to get more miles in so carried on all the way around - in hindsight I would probably have just been better off going for a decent hilly ride over the Dukes etc......
