Help Needed for Corrieri 10 Ml TT
« on: March 04, 2012, 10:07:12 PM »
As you may know already the club is organising the Corrieri Classic  10 mile Time Trial on 18th March (on the Dunbarton Rd turning at Kippen Roundabout)
This event is recognised as being a highlight of the early racing calendar and will therefore almost certainly attract a full field of 100 riders including many of the countries top time triallists.
Although it doesn't require as many helpers as a road race there are still  signifcant numbers of volunteers required to make the day run smoothly.
If you can give up the morning of the 18th to help with marshalling / setting up the hall / erecting signs etc please respond to this post - no previous experience required...
Thanks in anticipation

Dave Jorgensen

At risk of a thick ear (It is Mothering Sunday after all!) I will help out.
I trust the catering arrangements will be as good as last year.

I do not want to appear too demanding but I recall Mr Easton organised sunshine last year so what with good food and weather my expectations are quite high.

We're hoping to go for the full Michelin treatment this yr - so thought I could put you in charge of catering!! ;D (Alternatively I might have a drafty roundabout awaiting you)

Cheers Dave

Hi, if you're still looking for volunteers, I'll help. It'll save me from having to invent an excuse for not taking part :)

Thanks Colin - much-appreciated. We'll be in touch nearer the time. It won't require anything too technical so dinnae worry. Cheers, Nikki

would anyone fancy bringing their bikes and having a wee spin out maybe round the lake apr route in reverse after the tt?

Would be my first time ever riding with the 'Badgerine' if you say yes  ;)

Last rider will be off at 10.40 so all marshals, etc. be back at strip by 11.30 I reckon.  I could probs squeeze in 90 minutes to two hours before having to get back home I think.

Dave/Nikki - do you mind if I don't get over until 9.30/45-ish as i'll need to help my other half get the sprogs ready, etc. - my jaiket will be on a shaky peg if I leave her to get them ready on her own lol!

Happy to do anything whether it be at the hall or standing looking glamourous at the side of the road with a hiz viz on.
