Anyone doing this on Sunday?  I'm thinking of putting a last minute entry in for the 100 mile event but still unsure.

Never mind, BC website was wrong about closing date for entries.

Unfortunately, the only feedback I've had from this events was an email from a tour operator re inconsiderate riding on Glenogle which I've just had to field

Whilst not all the riders involved were from SBC, it would seem ours unfortunately was a very visible jersey.

Please, please remember, if you are wearing the club top you are representing the club, so ride according to our code of conduct, as you would be expected to on a club run. Otherwise, wear a different jersey or something............................ :P

I had a couple of people at work today complain about cyclists after being stuck in queues of traffic behind groups of cyclists yesterday which were presumably part of this ride.

Not particularly helpful to the above problem but that predicament reminds me of this!  >:D

Exactly - who's to say the SBC wearing rider wasn't minding his or her own business and riding perfectly reasonably and Mr Angry behind the wheel couldn't get passed in 5 seconds as he feels is his divine right?

Of course, the rider could be in the wrong but who knows.

That being said.  I think it was a bit foolhardy of the organisers to use that road IMHO.

How many club runs go up the Cri these days? 'nuff said

Glenogle is a great piece of road but it is too narrow for anything wider than two cars to pass safely going opposite ways - the whole area from Callander through Strathyre and up isn't very bike friendly.  Which is a shame cos it's gorgeous countryside.

Don't suppose there's anything you can do to persuade the minority  - time is money remember and one can't be held up for the few minutes to pass safely!!
