Away day April
« on: April 13, 2012, 02:40:49 PM »
I think I mentioned this to a few people but this month will be devils staircase/black water dam/ciaran path to kinlochleven then back on the whw to the car.
Although not a huge mileage this is still Quite a big day in the big hills.
post up if anyone interested/can provide lifts etc.

Usual bad weather options of gt or inners.

When? I'm interested but need to check the date.
I didn't earn the right to wear that top...I was the only one it fitted!

Can't make the 29th - I assume that this is still the date?

I'll get me red light sorted so I can take up my usual position in the group. Count me in, tis a cracking ride!

Hey guys,

I think I'm going to bottle out pass on this ride.  :-\ It's a great day out in fabulous country, but the more I think about it, the more I remember just how out of my depth I was trying to ride the Ciaran path section.

I'm also none to sure how the weather's going to be for this weekend, as the last time I looked at a report, we had a long spell of dodgy stuff coming in.  :P Mostly though, I'm just too scared not keen on tackling the Ciaran path without my full 'Imperial Stormtrooper' kit on.  :P

Have a good un'

BTW - Have you remembered to book your taxi from Kinlochleven this time...  ;)

Still planning on doing the Devils Staircase and Ciaran path.
We are aiming for 10 o'clock kick off at the Glen Coe end of the Devils Staircase.
Starting Point
I am giving Dom a lift and can squeeze 1 more in.
Remember to bring waterproofs, extra layer, spare tubes and beer money for a pit stop at the Ice Factor.

Slight change of plan, we(me anyway) will not be visiting the ice factory and will be in a nice hotel bar with nice food and beer ;D
