« on: May 03, 2012, 12:28:38 PM »
Anybody fancy doing the Mount Keen circuit this weekend? its one I have been meaning to do for along time.
I can do Saturday or Sunday
Forecast looks OK, slightly less wind on Sunday

It's a biggy!

(the next day I was on the phone to Mark at Wheels pleading with him to sell me the lightest bike in his shop).

Dougie - drop me an email / message if you want a GPS-track in another format.

Climbing Mt Keen from the north.

It's a long walk out if you trash your backwheel on the first water bar after the summit!

Way too big for me this early in the year.  :-\ It's a route I'd love to do, but I think it would kill me at the moment.

"Ship?" he called. "Yup?" said the ship. "Do what I do." The ship thought about this for a few milliseconds and then, after double checking all the seals on its heavy-duty bulkheads, it began slowly, inexorably, in the hazy blaze of its lights, to sink to the lowest depths. -Douglas Adams

Ok I probably deserved that; now I need someone else to keep me company while  Dougie and Barry admire the view - 10miles ahead of me... ;D

OK as Bruce has a preference for Saturday lets make it Saturday.
Starting at Tarfside
Should we aim for a 10am start?
I have room for 2 more in my car if needed.
Anybody else?
Steve you know you want to

Have space too for one or two.. Barry might suit for us to travel up, you do tunes I'll do directions...

Dougie you mean 10 at tarffside? so why not meet at the Perth Services at 8.15ish off Broxden roundabout. coffee and muffins + diesel (for the car!)
