All going well, I'll be at King's Park just up from the Tennis Courts beside the now invisible bus shelter at 7pm tonight. Looks like today's going to be another cracker!

What a night!
I struggled to find my lights, so I was late leaving the house. I then punctured on the way into Stirling, but it was one of those infuriating leaks. Not fast enough to justify stopping as I was so late already, but enough to slow me down and make things tougher. So I'd like to apologise for frightening everyone with the nick I was in when I eventually turned up at King's Park, especially poor Ben who was out for his first ride with us.
What a ride though, I think it's best described in one word so I can leave you all to sit back and imagine the rest with a wee smile on your face. And what would the word be?
Dusty
If I can get everything fixed up again, (I snapped my knob off)......oh for goodness sake
..... I snapped the knob off my seatpost remote, I'll be at Costa's coffee, just across from Graham Tiso's in Stirling Town centre at 9am for coffee and cake before we depart for the trails at 9.30am.
Hopefully see you all tomorrow!

Good crowd out yesterday for a cracking ride! A big hello to Tracy out on her first ride with the club as well.
We headed out into the sweltering heat and aimed our bikes towards Dumyat. The climb up there was brutal though. With no respite from the sun, the only thing that kept us going was watching Andrew's complexion slowly beginning to match his red hair. Stopping just short of the summit to give Andy time to apply yet another layer of 'Factor Ginger' the group split with some folk heading to the top and the rest of us making our leisurely way back down to the carpark area. Once everyone had regrouped we then hung a right and headed up the Sherrifmuir road before taking a lovely sinuous sheeptrack over towards the reservoir and ultimately the Sherrifmuir monument. From here it was a dry and dusty descent all the way back to Bridge of Allen ( and coffee and cake at Barga's), via the usual highlights.
Judging by the grinning mildly sunburnt faces, I reckon we all had a great time. Mind you, sucking the last drop out of my camelback 5 miles from home, did take the edge off it a wee bit!
It was great to see so many faces out yesterday, old and new! Can't wait for the next time!
Woohooo!

Thanks to everyone for yesterdays run, first run in 9 weeks and it was a scorcher. So much much better than my usual 2-3 times round CV.
Only downside was despite the sun's best effort, factor 35=no tan, none what so ever, even after 5 hours! Lower factor next time it's sunny.
Might even have a club jersey for the next run too as they're due this week
Colin.

I'm going to head out tonight for my usual 'Tour de Plean' loop taking in such highlights as the 'Mini Bombhole of Death', the 'Double Dipper of Doom' and the 'Squiggly Rooty Woods of........erm......Squigglyness'
I usually aim to be up at the main gates of Plean Park for 7pm, but can be flexible with that if needs be. Drop me a line if you want to join me for a couple of hours of dry, singletrack lovelyness.
