Furneaux Trophy 100 mile TT
« on: June 13, 2012, 03:28:23 PM »
I have just entered the Furneaux Trophy 100 mile TT on 8 July.  The strip is at Fourdoun Village Hall, Fourdoun, Laurencekirk, Aberdeen.  The reason for posting this is that it's not definite that this will take place and therefore if there are any of you thinking of entering can you please do this sooner rather than later.

You may sense some desperation in my post but just to share with you that this is part of my very secret preparation for the weekend of 21/22 July, at which my arch nemesis - the one and only Marko 'The Badgerine' soon to be melted Titanium Legs will be partaking also.

I understand that SBC considers this to be the key cycling duel of 2012 and therefore we hope not to disappoint.  It's all very exciting because I don't know of Marko's preparation other than his legendary culinary fasting. This is very much on par with the the likes of the main Tour de France contenders when they consider how close they will meet up with their main protagonists prior to the main event to psyche each other out and get that last minute devastating psychological blow.  Word on the street is that Marko has already increased the thickness of his chamois.  Oh! does anyone know why Alva's supply of Imodium is running low.   :o :-[ :'(

Rumour has it he was recently beaten in a TT by an ex member girlie and was forced to buy pizza!
I cannot confirm this, as he has not been seen since.

He was on the BBC News tonight - cheering Mark Beaumont as he carried the Olympic torch across the Forth Bridge!

Having read Mr Beaumonts books and more specifically the mechanical skills mentioned in his 'Americas' adventures - The Badgerine was there to make sure the bike made it across the bridge!!

Yes, can confirm the legendary fasting is continuing - passed the very Titanium adorned man himself on Tues evening walking down from the main street in Alva with a bag of deep-fried fasting fuel, carefully drizzled with sodium and vinegar  ;)  ;D
