A strange saturday - 23rd June

I can see a strange object in the sky - o, yeh, its the sun......
not quite what I expected today, after all the gloom of the last few days, and  not exactly the forecast I saw, but that means.......... loading up the bike, and heading down to Stirling to meet up for a muddy ride out......yee haa. Happy days.

Sunshine north of Auchterarder, rain from there to Stirling. Drove down thinking no-one else likely to turn up?  Surprised and happy to see two other MTB regulars - Beagleboy and Jamie - and had a grand trip up Dumyat and down Menstrie glen. We managed to see for most of the way, but Dumyat final climb was in the clouds, so we dropped down behind it. Interesting ride - my first ever ride in the kind of conditions where a jet ski would be more at home, so I am learning much more about this MTB lark !!!!   Actually, there was only occasional and very light rain - surprisingly. Mild, but blowing a hooly at the tops.....
Loved it - even though I was a bit slower than you guys. Thanks again. See you all again soon.
