Craig - are you sure about the 2:30 bit. I'd agree with you if you were heading across to the west via Blairdenon, but I think you'll be doing well to be at Blackford at this time via Glen devon.

Absolutely not sure! It's been a good few years since I've done this loop so I could easily be way out on the time needed. I'm also far heavier and less fit than I've been in years so I honestly have no idea how long it'll take to complete the loop. I just had it in my head we usually got to the Inn mid afternoonish.  :P

And seriously, when have I ever been able to outpace you? If you fancy coming along then do so. You can keep Jo, Dom and CraigR company at the front while I drag my big lardy @rse up the hill at the back!  :P

Hey guys

I'm really sorry but I skelped my knee when I went over the bars on Dumyat yesterday and it's still swollen. I've been for a spin around the streets but it's not feeling great and I don't think it's up for Silver Glen.

Sorry,

B.  :-[

Hope u r betr soon. It has not been your month.....

I will still be there today. i have very little idea of the way, but I do have maps and am willing to give the route a go if anyone else turns up - although I dont know where RedBruce was meeting us?????  I will be at Logie Kirk at 10.30 and if no-one else shows up, will go riding by myself somewhere......

Sorry you can't make it Beagy.

I have a map and a vague sense of direction ;D so still up for this. The meeting point in hillwood at the back of Alva, is at the bottom of the footpath, next to the car park, you can't miss me I look like brad Pitt and have a ginger dog! See you there at 11.

Fab ride, and lovely to meet a few more faces from the forum.... thanks for the excellent company, and advice everyone.
I am unlikely to make the next few cycle events, as my front suspension has seized today, so got to get that sorted, as it has given me a very sore neck today.....
bath done, off to get a glass of wine and my dinner, then fall over and go to sleep.... 8)

Yes a very good ride. I was reminded again not to underestimate the power of the ochills to make your ride hard work even if short. Mixture of slog with head wind, push and hike a bike. The Singletrack was challenging due to a little to much growth mixing with the hidden rock, off camber and heather bush. 1st aid kits came into use along with electrical tape to fix bike and person. Copper the dog like rest of us held out to the end.

A long day :)

Really sorry I couldn't make it, but even today I still feel like someone dropped a bus on me at the weekend.  :P

Glad everyone had a good time. I spent most of yesterday on the sofa, feeling sorry for myself and planning where I'll go next time I'm out :P

So forks now sent back, awaiting outcome of that one, and giving my mind a treat looking at new bikes on line.

Fed up  :( as no bike for this weekend tho', and too much work on to go out and play anyway..... and it looks like a not bad weekend coming up. Just my luck.

Hope you feeling better Beagy.
