Borrow front aero wheel
« on: July 12, 2012, 09:34:52 AM »
Hi after my trials and tribulations on Sunday, I would be very appreciative if someone could lend me an aero (but not too aero) front wheel.  The one I have just now is 82, which is too deep.  The SBC convoy will be leaving on 20 July.

Hopefully (but I can't promise) the wheel will do a tad over 400 but not much more than that.

In the meantime I'm attempting to sell a Specialized hardtail MTB - to buy a 2nd set of wheels for my TT bike.

Any offer of support will be greatly appreciated.  Anyways - I'm away to change my Pampers Super Dry again - just hope I don't run out of my supply of these and my baby sized Kleenex before the 21 July.

Hi G,

Got a 50mm Dura Ace carbon clincher front wheel you can borrow..  8)
Not mobile at the moment, so you would have to pick up from FK2.

If you ask nice, will even throw in a super aero tyre..lol..  ;D

Ian - thanks and that's greatly appreciated.  Anything that increases my distance (even a wee bit) against my nemesis the one and only Marko the Badgerine with Titanium Legs will be super duper.  I'll get in touch with you.

You never know my gravestone could read ".... once held SBC 24 hr record"

.... as well as many other thoughts that others have about me that are not printable on this cultured and distinguished site.

Bibs,
My boss is in the market for a hardtail. Have you some details?

Hi Norrie - it is an 18" Specialized Stumpjumper HT Comp 2009.  It has an XT chainset, SRAM leverss / rear mech. The fork is a Fox Float F90 RL - 90mm.  I bought new wheels for Kielder last year. £450 ovno.

Happy to arrange a viewing if your boss is still keen.

Thanks for your interest
