Cyprus - Report 1 - Iain Nimmo

This is the first report from Iain Nimmo who is away in cyprus for the next week or so to try and gain some UCI ranking points to help him on his way to Commonwealth Selection. He is accompanied by Stevie Jackson, Craig Hardie, Jono McBain, Stevie McEwen and Janet.

Hi,

Weather ok, Race went reasonably well today, it was the E1 Race 2 start loops and then 4 laps. A hard race on a good course. a stiff wind on the climbs made for heavy going up the 350 metres per lap of vert.

Last years winner made it a double Micheal Weiss (Top 10 World Champ Finisher) while the lads got some good results with Iain Nimmo finishing 14th after losing 2 places on the last half mile, Jono McBain took 15th 1 minute down on Nimmo for both riders to take UCI points. Craig Hardie finished 22nd after having a difficult last lap and being cought up in a tussle with a German rider. Steve Jackson got 24th while Steve McEwen was in 36th after puncturing early on.

Janet did the guys proud as acting team manager and fed the guys with style while securing an invite to race in Isreal later in the year, top bitch!

Later

Iain
