Paul Davison rode the new kit
in round 1 of the Scottish Development Road
Race Series at Dunfermline 28 March 2003. In his first road
race for too
many years, he sat at the back to get the lie of the land
and test his form.
A few groups had short breakaways but everything
came back for the last lap
and the usual free-for-all across the whole road. Paul
managed to claw up
to 20th (out of 60 starters), but if you ask him will probably
say he should
have started the wind-up earlier. Having ridden the lap
10 times previously
provides no excuse of ignorance about the finish.
