Trossachs Classic Time Trial

The Trossachs Classic Time
Trial took place on Sunday 11th April, following a course from Callander, past "Wheels" (sponsors
of the event), along the Trossachs road and over Duke's Pass, through Aberfoyle and
Lake of Menteith and finishing with the
Braes of Greenock.
Having all decided we were totally mad
to be riding the last
race of the year first (this is October's Tour of the Trossachs in reverse)
we took advantage of perfect time trialling
conditions.
The 24ish mile course was won by Barry McGurk
of Glasgow
Couriers in a time
of 1:04:34, with Stirling's Mark Leadbetter taking 2nd place
with 1:09:52.
First lady was Jenny Wright of Edinburgh Road Club with
1:14:55 and Stirling Bike Club's Katherine Wren clocked 1:21:38.
