Trail Building - Glentress
and other Scottish Locations
Outline
of what you will find here -
- Plans - showing what Pete has planned for the Glentress
Trail Building days.
- News - any news about trail building with emphasis on
anything Scottish.
- 7Stanes Project - speaks for itself, this section contains
mainly links and not much else.
- Galleries - a work in progress, as more sessions are completed,
the photo gallery will increase in size and hopefully show
how sections of the trails were built.
You do not need any experience with trail building to help
out as Pete explains the processes involved and gives demonstrations
of what needs done (and why). The day involves physical work
and can be quite strenuous at times, therefore the more people
that come along the easier it will be for everyone.
After
the 4 hours trail work most people then go for a social ride
to wind down and let the bodies relax afterwards.

The
Hub in the Forest - the newly opened cafe at the bottom
of the forest. Run by Emma Guy and Tracy Brunger, this cafe
is incredibly bike friendly and has some amazingly good food
on offer.
Please use this section to find out what's being planned
for Glentress, the 7Stanes project (just brief news and links)
and any other trail building news that appears. We will gradually
build a gallery of building photographs to show how Glentress
develops over time.
Photography in this section was done by Pete
Laing at various locations - some are from Coed-y-Brenin in
Wales, others are from the Trail Building days at Glentress.
Andy MacCandlish has also provided many of the photographs. |
