Teams for Wild Boar 24

Afternoon...

This was discussed on another thread a few weeks ago but there has been no action.

The wild boar race entries have been out for a while now and I reckon they might fill up, so I suggest those interested show their interest so we can get a team application or two sent off. I am happy to do the entries for a team.

Does anyone want to join me in the 24 hour madness? Ally et al...

Dan you might want to find more competitive or athletic members for your team. (You know what my night-before-the race prep is like  )

Bazz, as with SITS I'm just going to enjoy the event! If I race round it's for my own benefit. If, however, you really mean 'Dan please don;t be in the same team as me I want a longer rest between laps', then that's clearer and if we get a couple of teams we can surely tweak them suitably!

Dan - that's not what I meant. I just don't want to hold you back if you fancy putting a team together to have a serious crack at the leader board. Obviously I can't help you do that.

I'm happy to ride in any sort of paced team, as long as you'll have me 

Still waiting to hear about Jo's new rota (changing away from Stirling A+E in February you'll all be glad to know  ), but she's hoping to form any sort of girlies team. So far there's Jo plus her mate Dawn, but they might join up with SBC and form a girls SBC team if there's another couple willing contenders? (and her shift rota allows it).

Here's some bumph I pasted from the web site - it sounds like camping space will be hard to get.

The event will take place on 17/18 May 2008 in Grizedale Forest Park, Hawkshead near Ambleside. It's likely that it will follow a very similar format to 'Mountain Mayhem' all be it on a much smaller budget! If are reading this and interested in supporting the event then please get in touch via the 'contact us' section of the website.

Places will be limited to 200 teams of 4, solos and pairs will be on top of this figure, as space for camping is at a premium so early entry is strongly advised. If you are one of the people who have posted in an enquiry form then a form will be mailed to you in the New Year. If however you can't wait until then please download one now!!

I have no idea when this is, but since I missed all races last year...I'm in.  I've got no idea what kind of shape I'll be in, but should be able to make a few laps....
