In the words of Jason Barnes (Pollocx organiser) :-
A female-only parkland CX race on the south side of Glasgow with NO vet or junior male riders getting in your way!
A pre-race CX coaching clinic led by female coaches included in the entry fee!
A catering tent renowned throughout the district(!) offering soup, hot drinks and home baking!
A warm, friendly, positive and encouraging atmosphere that welcomes ALL female riders, whether you reckon you'll be first, fast, slow or last!
If you've never done a cross race before, then you might not realise what brilliant fun it is. This event is the perfect introduction, and a great way to shed those lazy post-Christmas winter blues while you're at it. The Scottish CX series may be over for another year, but hot on the heels of this event are another two series - the South Lanarkshire CX series and the Super Quaich - so why not use this as the perfect tune-up?
You don't need a CX bike - anything you can ride off road in the mud will do, mountain bikes are more than welcome.
A full programme of youth races - with separate races for U8, U10, U12 and U14/16 categories - is also featured, so why not have a top family day out and come along?
Places will sell out, so get your entries in and join some of your fellow club mates for some top notch coaching on a great course (not to technical and not hilly)
See you there!
