Thanks for giving it a go! Always better to have a team of 4. Never easy to do a TP with no practice. Brenda and I have advantage of having raced together 3 or 4 times over the last month or so.

Sorry we dropped you & hope the experience has not put you off trying the Easter event!.

Thanks Carole forgiving me a chance to try pursuit, sorry I was so crap.
If every day is a school day then yesterday's lesson was: I am a good holder-upper, but I am a terrible pursuiter.

Thanks team

I think they are planning to send out rider info Monday night so can confirm then.

I believe that racing will start 645 (but it may be 630).

Yes it will be 2k race and I believe each team will get 2 rides.

I’ll send on info when I get it.

Cheers

Hi Carole

What time do we kick off and what is on the agenda for the night? Can I check - the course is 2k?

Cheers

The pies are mince pies although I am sure I could request a macaroni pie.

The event is an evening of team pursuit racing. So basically teams of 3 or 4 chase another team around the track for 2k or till they catch the other team. You do have to be accredited on the track and have a track bike(or loan of one) before you can race it. It is usually a fun event, with a mix of regular racers and some less experienced track racers.

If you are new to track then a club session or accreditation 1 session is the best way to try it out. I will be looking to organise another club session if I can secure a booking at some point in the new year.

Sounds good Carole, what do you do? Although it sounds like you chase the person in front to get a pie.
