Weather report is suggesting it might be a bit damp in the morning, but should be drier by lunchtime. Doesn't appear to be cold, but it won't be warm, so if you are coming along, please be aware of the conditions.

Starting to get a regular turnout for these - which is fantastic. Had a very quick chat at the end of last Saturday's ride sand consensus was to head to Beecraigs Country Park this coming Saturday.

Meeting at 10:30 at the Visitors Car Park - this does mean we are likely to finish with a climb, but it'll hopefully mean everyone gets a good sleep that night!

There are bike trails dotted all over the park and I'm going to suggest an almost circular route round a chunk of the Park. There will be a bit of climbing, but also a bit of descending. The majority of the route isn't overly technical, but there are a few sections that will have some roots and (roughly) 'large kerb-sized' drops - these will be mentioned before we get to them.

For those happy with a steep climb to get up to a rather nice viewpoint, we can add an extension to 'ride' up to the top of a 'wee' hill, near the Korean War Memorial site - if you zoom out of the map (link below), you will see a marker called 'Witch Craig' - it is near that...a circular route that rejoins the trail, so would be optional and give people who don't fancy it a 10 minute or so breather.

There is also a large skills area to have a play on and if we can stomach a slightly long climb, there is a very nice trail that takes us all the way back down to the Skills area for a final play before the last 200 yards(ish) back up to the car park and cafe.

Everyone is welcome (you don't have to be a club member) but any kids need a chaperone - you ride what you want and you aren't pressured into riding anything you don't.

There has been a good mix of abilities along and everything has worked well, so hopefully this will continue and we'll see more folk coming along and having a bit of fun.

Meeting point is the main visitor centre - Google Maps - for a 10:30am start.
