It looks good weather tonight, so hopefully see you later. For those who haven’t done a Monday evening ride, it’s an informal group that normally numbers 6 or 8, does about 20 to 25 flattish Miles, and depending on who turns up may average between 17 and 19 mph. No one gets left though.
Hello all, I know Alan will be in sunnier climates next Monday but anybody interested in coming along next Monday the 30th please come. Same place, same time and format as before.
best wishes Jim Robertson
Hi David - I’m hoping to make it too - 50/50 at the moment as to whether I can get away from work early enough.
But....for parking car, easiest option is to head past Dobbies to the roundabout at end of Chalmerston Road and take the first left onto Chalmerston and you can park car around there before the old stone bridge.
The route is generally - Chalmerston Road - Coldoch Road up into Thornhill and then over Micro Braes towards Doine and back towards Safari Park cutting back along Chalmerston Road.
Hopefully this link to my post from Strava for last weeks run works?
Right, it's that time of year again. A couple of us are planning to start the Monday evening rides from Chalmerston road, starting on Monday 9th April at 6.30pm (meet at the start of Chalmerston road, opposite Dobbies). As per last year they will be medium paced and tailored to whoever turns up. So no one will be left behind, but probably normally averaging intermediate / slower middle group pace. They last for about 1.5 hours, so bring back lights especially if you are riding home afterwards.
Anyone up for it?
