Rode Coldoch in reverse in the rain about a month ago & it was shocking Craig... Another option is the original route minus Coldoch but it would obviously be a shorter route!

Anyone else got any thoughts on this? Anyone else planning to ride tonight?

Personal preference would be to dodge potholes on Coldoch rather than cars on the A811!

How bad is Coldoch for group riding? From memory there's a couple of corners where if singled up line choice is easy through rough bits, not sure how well that would work 2 abreast.

Cheers

All,
Over the last couple of years a group of us have met at the end of Chalmerston Rd on a Monday night, cycling a route of 22mi, at a pace suitable for a mixed group (mainly Tempo, Middle & Inters) with no-one left behind.

One of the roads we used to take is in such a bad state of repair that there hasn't been much interest in reconvening the Monday night ride, although I know there are a number of people who are interested...

I'm proposing that we start again next Monday evening (6th May), meeting at the same location & departing at 7pm (lights may be required). I won't be able to make it every week, but then this isn't an SBC organised event, just a group of people who like to get a few miles in early in the week.

The Old Monday Night Recovery Ride route is here . The new proposed Monday Night Recovery Road route is here (exactly 22mi again) but I'm open to other suggestions...

What do people think?

Becki
