Hi Fraser, I was able to get a set of mudguards today, so I'll get them fitted.

Hopefully see you tomorrow!

Louise, as it is forecast to be wet on Saturday I would strongly encourage all riders to have mudguards. It is not particularly pleasant riding behind a bike with no rear mudguard when it is wet.

Even fitting just the rear mudguard makes a big difference. Both to the rider behind you and your own behind.

There are a good few mudguards on the market that are very easily and quickly fitted.

I hope to see you on Saturday.

Hi I'm thinking of joining the inters ride on Saturday and was hoping to bring my new bike. Unfortunately I don't have mudguards for it, will that be okay or should I try and get some tomorrow? Thanks

I am leading the intermediate ride on Saturday. The forecast looks cold and damp (rain) so wrap up well.

The route I am suggesting is:

Peak --> BofA --> Carse of Lecropt --> Hill O'Row --> Doune --> Argaty Triangles --> Dunblane --> Auchinlay --> Braco --> Blackford --> Sheriffmuir --> Glen Road --> BofA --> Bacon Roll

66.5km (41.6miles) - 784m of climbing

www.strava.com/routes/24333303

A few small single track roads so we will see how it goes.And shouts will be important.

Wrap up warm! Usual kit - tubes, levers, other tools, food and drink. A helmet in mandatory.

See you at the Peak. If you are stepping up let me know. No-one left behind.
