Stirling Bike Club Data Protection and under 18's Policy

Stirling Bike Club endeavours to summarise the purposes for which your personal data will be processed (by the Club), when collecting your personal data from you for membership and purchases below. This notice is simply to provide further details about the way in which SBC may process so-called sensitive personal data relating to you.

We will not pass your data onto commercial organisations for financial gain. We may share your data with other organisations, but only where that data has been made anonymous and is to be used for statistical purposes.

  2. meeting our legal obligations as laid down by the Data Protection Act 1998
  3. ensuring that data is collected and used fairly and lawfully
  4. processing personal data only in order to meet our operational needs or fulfill legal requirements
  5. taking steps to ensure that personal data is up to date and accurate
  6. establishing appropriate retention periods for personal data
  7. ensuring that data subjects' rights can be appropriately exercised
  8. providing adequate security measures to protect personal data
  9. ensuring that a nominated officer is responsible for data protection compliance and provides a point of contact for all data protection issues
  10. ensuring that all club officers are made aware of good practice in data protection
  11. providing adequate training for all staff responsible for personal data
  12. ensuring that everyone handling personal data knows where to find further guidance
  13. ensuring that queries about data protection, internal and external to the organisation, are dealt with effectively and promptly
  14. regularly reviewing data protection procedures and guidelines within the club

Child Protection Guidance

Scottish Cycling require that all club members and parents have advisory information outlining good practice and advice what to do if they have concerns about the behaviour of an adult toward a young person.
